Best Monetization for Mobile Apps and Games: Testing and Comparisons of Different SDKs
TOPIC: A test analyses of different Monetizing options and SDKs available. What worked, how did it increase or decrease the numbers.
I don’t know how many of you have tried different monetizing SDKs and if you want to add your results and experience, but I wanted to take a month and research to compare these different SDK options and find the most effective solution for all of us indie developers out there.
I have been looking and trying to find a better monetization solution with a PPC (pay per click) model rather than a PPI (pay per install). I knew google had one but I was not sure if it was worth pursuing it. However, this is something I am going to try because if you take a look at your numbers, there are far more clicks than conversions (installs) and if you got paid for the click, it would increase your income per app.
There are a few options to try:
– AdMob: http://www.google.com/ads/admob/monetize.html
– MoPub: http://www.mopub.com/products/partners/
Apparently, Carter is seeing results using MoPub and it would make sense since they have a combination of both types PPC/PPI running. I dont know if it determines which ad has max ecpm and displays those first, but I would think they would have something like that in place. That is what will increase numbers and max your earning potential.
